In recognition for his volunteer work with the Veterans Airlift Command (VAC), Omni Financial’s president, Andre Bohy, was one of many honored guests at Hero Flight 2017 in November. Omni Financial is dedicated to giving back to America’s heroes and our President, along with several other Omni executives, was proud to represent our organization at this two-day appreciation event and fundraiser hosted by the VAC.
The VAC provides free air transportation to post 911 combat wounded and their families for medical and other compassionate purposes through a national network of volunteer aircraft owners and pilots. Omni’s company President is a volunteer VAC pilot and donates his time, plane and piloting skills to VAC flight missions to help soldiers in need. Andre is passionate about flying and assisting the VAC in facilitating these important missions that serve those who serve our country.
Hero Flight 2017
Hero Flight 2017 took place November 3-4 in Charleston, South Carolina and paid tribute to the many volunteer pilots, as well as VIP sponsors such as Omni Financial. The event featured an evening reception at the Historic Rice Mill, a tour of Joint Base Charleston, and a Saturday night gala at the Hibernian Hall. The highlight of the event was listening to the personal and inspirational stories shared by some of the combat wounded hero passengers who benefited from the VAC transportation services.
